Believe in Magic Words by Andonis Violaris & Eleni Violaris Music by Adam Violaris On the wind ancient voices and spirits sail Every mark on this earth tells a tale Every man, every woman and every boy and girl Fall in love to a song Every soul that sets out from a distant shore Has a dream to return home once more Every day that goes by without ever asking why You believe in your dreams Close your eyes and believe in magic As I hold your hand and I kiss your brow Close your eyes and believe in magic And your heart tonight Every path that we walk we have walked before Every step that we take is a mile Every treasure we find as we search along the way Has been buried by us It’s our destiny then to find love again Where we failed once before now we’ll win Where we cried and let pain be the tale we left behind This time ‘round we’ll be kind Close your eyes and believe in magic As I hold your hand and I kiss your brow Close your eyes and believe in magic And your heart tonight Close your eyes and believe in magic As I hold your hand and I kiss your brow Close your eyes and believe in magic And your heart tonight Close your eyes and believe in magic As I hold your hand and I kiss your brow Close your eyes and believe the magic In your heart tonight Close your eyes, believe in magic Close your eyes, believe in magic Close your eyes, believe in magic Close your eyes, close your eyes Close your eyes, believe in magic Believe in magic

Ceridwen's Lament Words by Andonis Violaris Music by Adam Violaris (In English & Anglo-Saxon) To midre nihte By night they came... Blood royal and free We were young then Ever so young Distant cries drawing close The terror of nightmares Coming close, closer The drums were beating Saw the foe coming closer Closer, closer, closer, closer (Female chorus): Run away, run away, run away, run away Great longships of oak Took you from me Out of my arms Sailed with the tide Out to the sun You won’t return ‘Though you promised me you’d come back I still hear you calling me I can hear you still Horned beasts took my pride (Female chorus): Edhoæ forlegen brecan But not my heart Not my heart (Female chorus): By night they came Distant ghosts coming back The terror of nightmares Feel you close, closer Our hearts are beating Feel your body draw closer Stay with me, stay with me, Stay with me, stay with me (Female chorus): Closer, closer, closer, closer Wind touching my cheek Kissed by the moon Touched by the stars Warmed by the sun While you’re not here And far away, without me or love You’re not free without Danegeld But just know that I love you still Great longships of oak Took you from me Out of my arms Sailed with the tide Out to the sun You won’t return ‘Though you promised me you’d come back I still hear you calling me I can hear you still

Wiccan Faire 04:40
Wiccan Faire Words by Andonis Violaris Music by Adam Violaris & Eleni Violaris The faire was loud and bustling As people milled around The faire was for the Wiccan At the stones of Salisbury Down He rode his horse into the faire So handsome young and proud She knew he was a highwayman And smiled and sighed aloud He stopped to buy her garland ware His dark eyes held her stare His voice was warm and tender That day at Wiccan Faire His charm and words beguiled her His hands caressed her hair His touch was soft and tender His smile beyond compare She thanked him for his custom He thanked her for her ware He bent and kissed her trembling lips That day at Wiccan Faire He spurred his horse to ride away Her eyes welled in despair He promised to return one day Return to Wiccan Faire ‘Though years went by and age crept on The memory remained Of the horseman and the promise made To return to her one day She wondered what became of him Not knowing was her pain Her heart was broken people said And why she stayed a maid She waited for her highwayman ‘Til hammer, nail and saw Brought sounds of gallows rising high That broke her heart once more The crowd was cruel and baying Except for one who cared When he went by she called to him Remember Wiccan Faire He remembered how she smiled at him And how he’d touched her hair And how he kissed her trembling lips That day at Wiccan Faire She saw the garland on his belt He kept from long ago ‘Though withered flowers entwined the hide His love like hers did grow He kissed her eager lips again Bound hands caressed her hair The way they had those years ago That day at Wiccan Faire She walked with him and as she wept He asked her for her name He asked her to forgive his deeds And all the years of pain She held on to his body close Not wanting to let go Until they pulled her from his grasp Whilst praying for his soul He climbed to meet his destiny He thanked her for her prayer He smiled at her for one last time As he did at Wiccan Faire He smiled at her for one last time As he did at Wiccan Faire As he did at Wiccan Faire

The Great Ones Words by Andonis Violaris Music by Adam Violaris Somewhere deep in time, hidden by mists Shroud-like clouds part Four Great Ones look down Cruelly they smile on our woes From great Asgard’s shores the Great Ones came Cast their boreal light into our lives Rite of flaming spear that sears the wind Mighty Thor’s great hammer rends the air Here where tall stones stand dark as the night Offer prayers to Odin’s might Feared Loki’s stare feeds our despair Do they care From Valhalla’s halls The Great Ones come Valkyries, then Twilight of the Gods Goddess of the wolves that cry at night Help us ease our sorrows and our fright Back to Asgard’s shores The Great Ones go Leaving just their tales to help our lives Sky-cloaked gods that stare With fearsome eyes Sated; laugh and leave us when they’re done Don’t leave us, stay with us (repeat) Don’t leave us, don’t leave us Stay with us now! (Repeat in Anglo-Saxon): Abiddan giernes ge bidden ci egan Abiddan giernes maestra nu Back to Asgard’s shores The Great Ones go Leaving just their tales to help our lives Sky-cloaked gods that stare With fearsome eyes Sated; laugh and leave us when they’re done Don’t leave us, stay with us (repeat twice) Don’t leave us now! Don’t leave us, stay with us (repeat) Don’t leave us, don’t leave us Stay with us now!

about

‘Rainstriker’ is an original album inspired by fantasy, myth & legend. Sung in a striking fusion of English & Anglo-Saxon, the album fuses pop, folk, new age, classical and classical-crossover musical styles with cinematic orchestrations & arrangements, to create an eclectic and unique musical work. 'Rainstriker' evokes a mythical age centring on Celtic, Brythonic and Norse Gods and Goddesses of the earth, moon, sea, sky, rain, wind and fire. With elegant melodies and harmonies composed and arranged by Adam Violaris, the album weaves colourful sagas of marauding Vikings, great mythological heroes, immortal love stories and other tales from across the sea.

But Eleni Violaris gets very close... lovely voice, great lyrics and wonderful music. Float away on this Lady's sound, make love, be inspired. She really does it where others fail at the first fence. “Am listening: Too beautiful: Bravo to you” - Renée Simono

“Eleni, it's so kind of you to take the time and reply to your fans’ comments! Thank you! You made my day and warm wishes on this Easter Sunday” - Melanie Healy

Paula Morrissey: “This looks amazing. I bet Si will love it, looks just up his street. I love how they describe this path, it shows how you can connect and it doesn't matter if your wand is a cubit, or your candles are the right colour. Real magic as your ancestors would have embraced it.”

Paul Watson: “I’ll email Eleni in the early New Year to say how blown away I am with it and ask if there's a release date yet. I can think of several people who might be interested and one or two that may well get a copy for their birthday. Best way I know of to casually promote something is to play it in the car when I'm running friends around.”

Paula Morrissey: “We've got quite a nice pagan community here in Facebook land too. People are always looking for good music.”

Paul Watson: “I’d thought of that too, it would appeal across the board.”

“Beautiful voice! Would love that talent, keeping my singing to the shower and car.” - Kerri Beth, via Twitter

“Your music is so beautiful, and I went along perfectly a scene I was writing. Have a beautiful day! - MK McClintock

“Is your new release available in all record outlets?” - Jonathan Clossick

”Just checked your website, what an amazing voice and music! :)” - Alicja Ayres

“Do you have any previous cd's? I love the composition of your music and your beautiful voice!” - Sherri Cufley

“A couple years ago, on the strength of what I'd heard on this video and my love of all things Anglo-Saxon I became a backer in the hope that enough people would do the same and I could own the finished product. Well. in my inbox this morning were the links to the finished 24-bit master, the 16-bit cd and mp3, all 3 gigabytes of them. Needless to say, I had the cd files down and burnt as soon as I could and in the hi-fi before 7 am. I am a very happy bunny, the finished item is a massive production and for anyone who likes the magical mystical mythical theme, I wholly recommend it. Unfortunately, the master has only just been sent off for duplicating so it won't be available for a tiny bit longer, and I'll get back with the release date when I know it” - Paul Watson
